I have an old brass Schlage unkeyed door knob/latch set. I would like to install it in a door, but can't figure out how to take it apart. The rosettes thread on, but I can't figure out how to get a knob off. There are 2 small holes on both knob shafts. I have already tried pushing something into the holes and pulling/turning the knobs.

These door knobs are a great update to the old, gold builders grade knobs that had been on the place since it was built. They were fairly easy to install, once I figured out how to get the cover plate off so I could access the screws. From there, it only took about 10 minutes to remove the old knob and install the new one.
